Overview: This guide provides step-by-step instructions for selecting a patient and configuring arches to capture a diagnostic scan within the Chairside software workflow.

Select Patient Information

Follow these steps to identify or create a patient profile in Chairside:

Select Start on the Chairside homescreen.
Type the patient's first and last name into the search field.
For existing patients: Select the patient's name from the results and click Order Something New.
For new patients: Enter the first name, last name, gender, and birthdate.
Select Create and Continue to advance the patient profile.

Choose Diagnostic Scan Product

Configure the scan type and arch selection:

Select Diagnostic Scan from the product menu.
Choose the desired arch or arches for the diagnostic scan.
Select Next to proceed.

Finalize Scanning Setup

Complete the configuration to begin the capture process:

Select Start Scanning if no additional products or modifications are required.
Select Edit Diagnostic if you need to adjust the arch selection or product details.
