Manage Orders Using Quick Order Actions

Overview: Learn how to use the Quick Order Actions menu in the Dandy Portal to modify, cancel, pause, or refabricate your dental orders efficiently.

Understanding Quick Order Actions

The Quick Order Actions menu is located on the right side of the Order Details page for any submitted order. Available actions vary by product type (SKU) and the current stage of the order. If a button is greyed out, that specific action cannot be performed at the current production stage.

Manage and Edit Order Details

You can modify the prescription (RX), lab instructions, and specific item details directly through the Portal.

Modify Prescription and Instructions

  1. Navigate to the Dandy Portal and select the order.

  2. Under Quick Order Actions, select Modify RX and instructions.

  3. Select the specific item you wish to edit.

  4. Use the pencil icon to change the following:

    • Shade: Select a new desired shade.

    • Tooth Number: Select the correct tooth or teeth.

    • Material: Select the desired material.

    • Doctor/Address: Update the ordering doctor or delivery address.

  5. Under Preferences, use the dropdown menus to adjust order-level settings.

  6. Click Next to review changes.

  7. Check the box to acknowledge that edits may result in a new delivery date.

  8. Click Submit Changes as New Order.

Note: For orders currently in design or fabrication, these edits will cancel the original order and create a new one. You will not be double-charged.

Refabricate an Order

If a delivered order requires a remake, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Order Details page of the delivered case.

  2. Select Refabricate order from the Quick Order Actions menu.

  3. Identify the specific issues requiring refabrication from the provided list.

  4. Add Scans: Include diagnostic scans, other chairside scans, or uploaded files if you are not rescanning the patient.

  5. Review Design: Mark up the original design as needed.

  6. Select Start refabrication order.

Pause and Resume Orders

Pausing an order halts progress for up to 45 days.

  1. On the Order Details page, select Pause order.

  2. Select a reason for the pause and click Pause order again.

  3. To continue, click the Resume order button on the same page.

Cancel an Order

Orders can be canceled during design or fabrication but cannot be canceled once they are prepared for shipping.

  1. Open the patient's case in the Portal or Chairside.

  2. Click Cancel Order in the Quick Order Actions menu.

  3. Select a cancellation reason and click Submit Cancellation.

Order Feedback

  1. Open the patient's case in the Portal or Chairside.

  2. Click Cancel Order in the Quick Order Actions menu.

  3. Select Leave Product Feedback.
  4. Based on the outcome of the case, rate the product between 1 and 5 stars
  5. Depending on how you rate the case, we may ask you for more feedback on aesthetics, fit, time required to make adjustments, etc. Make the appropriate selections in each of the categories or add any additional comments.
