Use this specific Chairside workflow only when fabricating a new implant-supported overdenture for patients who lack a reliable vertical dimension or existing denture to reference.

Step-by-Step Case Setup and Patient Selection

Follow these steps to initiate the patient record in Chairside:

1. Click Start on the Chairside home screen.

2. Enter the first and last name of the patient.

3. Select Order Something New for existing patients.

4. Enter gender and birthdate for new patients, then click Create and Continue.

Product Selection and Scanning Method

Define the product type and how the scanning data will be delivered to the laboratory:

1. Select Dentures, then click Overdenture.

2. Select No when asked if the patient has an existing denture for bite establishment, then click Next.

3. Choose the delivery method for scans or impressions (Intraoral scan, Impression scan, or Physical impression), then click Next.

4. Select Implant-supported for the denture type, then click Next.

5. Identify the specific tooth numbers where the implants are located and click Next.

Implant and Arch Configuration

Configure the technical details of the implant hardware and the dental arch:

1. Select the Locator System (e.g., Locator, Locator Fixed, Locator R-TX, or Other).

2. Toggle the switch to OFF if you need to use different implant systems or collar heights for individual sites.

3. Choose the Implant Manufacturer, Implant System, and Platform Size.

4. Enter the Cuff Height for the abutments and click Next.

5. Select the relevant arch: Dual Arch, Maxillary, or Mandibular.

6. Check the box if the upper restoration must be a Horseshoe Denture, then click Next.

Final Review and Scanning Initiation

Complete the order setup or add additional items:

• Add Another Item: Click this to include a partial denture or other product in the same order. 

  • Add Another Item

• Edit: Click this to modify any previous selections.

• Start Scanning: Click this to begin the digital impression process if no other products are required.
