Overview: Learn how to add and manage multiple types of restorations within a single Dandy order to ensure a seamless scanning and checkout process.
Configure Initial Case Setup
To begin your order, you must first define the primary restoration for the patient.
Select Restoration Type: Choose the type of restoration you would like to start with from the main menu.
Assign Teeth: Select the specific tooth or teeth that will receive the chosen restoration.
Specify Materials: Select the desired material and shade from the subsequent menus. You may also upload relevant patient photos at this stage.
Confirm Selection: Click Add to Order to save the first item.
Add Additional Restorations
You can add more items to the same case before beginning the scanning process.
Initiate Addition: Select the Add another item button.
Select New Item: Choose a different restoration type from the Order something more menu.
Assign Teeth for New Item: Select the tooth or teeth for the additional restoration.
Specify Materials: Select the desired material and tooth shade for the secondary restoration.
Complete Scanning and Review
The Chairside software coordinates the scanning requirements for all items in the order.
Begin Scanning: Start the scanning process. The Chairside software guides you through every required scan to ensure all necessary data is captured for all restorations in the order.
Enter Review Menu: Once all scans are captured, the software will automatically navigate to the Review menu.
Initiate Checkout: Select the Start ordering button to proceed to the final steps.
Finalize Checkout and Submission
Review the complete order details before submitting the case to the lab.
Confirm Items: Review the list of items to ensure everything is included.
Select Digital Design Preview to confirm you would like to order one. Note that Digital Previews are not available for all restoration types.
Review Summary: On the final screen, check the case summary, delivery address, and anticipated delivery date.
Place Order: Select Place Order to submit the case.
Important Note on Layered Products: If the order includes a layered product (such as PFZ, PFM, or Emax), Dandy will deliver the Fixed Restoration first. A new scan of the seated product may be required before the fabrication of subsequent restorations in the same order.
