Review Scans in Chairside
- Check each individual scan step to ensure each one has a green check mark
- Start the scanner, then stop it immediately
- Check to make sure there is no missing scan data or distortions on each scan
- Check that the bite matches the patient's clinical bite
- If the patient has a scanable healing abutment, skip to step 8
- Check E.P. scan is a scan of the tissue only. No scanbody or healing abutment in place
- Check S.B. scan has the scan body captured completely
- Check that there are no distortions on the scan body
- Go to the review step
- Click “HD” on the left side toolbar
- Wait for scans to load in HD
- Check scans to ensure there is no distortions
- Check to ensure there is no stitching issues
- Check to ensure scan body does not look like it is touching an adjacent tooth
- Double-check the bite scan is accurate to what is seen clinically
- If there are areas of the scan that do not look adequate, please rescan until they are
Review Scans in 3Shape Unite
- Make sure the lab selected is Dandy
- Check to make sure there is no missing scan data or distortions on each scan
- Check that the bite matches the patient's clinical bite
- If the patient has a scanable healing abutment, skip to step 8
- Check E.P. scan is a scan of the tissue only. No scanbody or healing abutment in place
- Check S.B. scan has the scan body captured completely
- Check that there are no distortions on the scan body
- Go to the post-process step
- Click “post-process” under the scans
- Wait for the scans to load
- Check scans to ensure there is no distortions
- Check to ensure there is no stitching issues
- Check to ensure scan body does not look like it is touching an adjacent tooth
- Double-check the bite scan is accurate to what is seen clinically
- If there are areas of the scan that do not look adequate, please rescan until they are
Review Scans in Scan Pro / Alliedstar
- Verify all scan steps are completed
- Check to make sure there is no missing scan data or distortions on each scan
- Check that the bite matches the patient's clinical bite
- If the patient has a scanable healing abutment, that can be left in for EP scan
- Check E.P. scan is a scan of the tissue only. No scanbody or healing abutment in place
- Check S.B. scan has the scan body captured completely
- Check that there are no distortions on the scan body
- Check scans to ensure there is no distortions
- Check to ensure there is no stitching issues
- Check to ensure scan body does not look like it is touching an adjacent tooth
- Double-check the bite scan is accurate to what is seen clinically
- If there are areas of the scan that do not look adequate, please rescan until they are
