Overview: This article provides instructions for exporting and preparing DICOM files from LED Imaging CBCT software for upload to the Dandy portal. Following these steps ensures the scan data is at the correct resolution for implant surgery planning.
Create a Destination Folder
Right-click on an empty space on the computer desktop.
Select New, then select Folder.
Type the patient's name to rename the folder and press Enter on the keyboard.
Export DICOM Files from LED Imaging
Open the LED Imaging software.
Click File in the top menu and select Open Image.
Click the desired CBCT scan once to select it.
Click Export.
In the export pop-up window, set the DICOM Modality to CT.
Select the patient folder you created on the desktop as the destination.
Click Export to begin the export process.
Click OK once the LED Imaging software confirms the files are saved.
Compress and Upload the Patient Folder
Before uploading to Dandy, the folder must be compressed (zipped) to ensure all data remains intact during the transfer.
Right-click the renamed patient folder.
Select Send to, then select Compressed (zipped) folder.
Note: If you are following a Dual Scan Protocol, zip the "Patient Scan" and "Denture Scan" individually and label them accordingly.
Upload the compressed folder to the Dandy Portal or email the file to ImplantSurgery@meetdandy.com.
