Overview: This article provides instructions for exporting and preparing DICOM files from Triana CBCT software for upload to the Dandy portal. Following these steps ensures the scan data is at the correct resolution for implant surgery planning.
Create a patient destination folder
Before exporting from the software, create a folder on your computer to store the scan data.
Navigate to your computer desktop.
Right-click an empty space and select New > Folder.
Type the Patient Name and press Enter.
Export scans from Triana
Follow these steps to generate the DICOM files within the Triana imaging software.
Open the Triana software and select the desired patient from the database.
Click the Export button.
Select the specific scan you wish to export.
Click the "..." (browse) button to select a save location.
In the pop-up window, navigate to your Desktop, select the folder you created in the previous section, and click OK.
Verify the correct folder path is displayed in the software and click Run. A loading bar will appear to track the export progress.
Compress and Upload the Patient Folder
Before uploading to Dandy, the folder must be compressed (zipped) to ensure all data remains intact during the transfer.
Right-click the renamed patient folder.
Select Send to, then select Compressed (zipped) folder.
Note: If you are following a Dual Scan Protocol, zip the "Patient Scan" and "Denture Scan" individually and label them accordingly.
Upload the compressed folder to the Dandy Portal or email the file to ImplantSurgery@meetdandy.com.
