Overview: Learn how to log in, update software, manage patient profiles, and use the margin tracing tool within the 3Shape Unite platform
Accessing 3Shape Unite
To access the 3Shape Unite software, follow these steps:
Open the 3Shape Unite application from your desktop.
Click Unlock on the login screen. By default, no password is required.
If you have a password and cannot remember it, contact the Support Team for a reset.
Update 3Shape Unite Software
Regular software updates ensure optimal scanner performance and access to the latest features.
Navigate to Settings: Open the 3Shape Unite software and select More, then select Settings.
Locate App Updates: Select Installed Apps & Subscriptions, then click Installed Apps.
View Available Updates: Click App Updates in the lower-left corner of the App Store section.
Install Updates: Select Install All Updates to begin the process.
Manage Patient Profiles
3Shape Unite allows you to create new records or manage returning patients.
Add New Patients: Click the New Patient button on the home page. Enter the patient's first name, last name, and date of birth, then click Add.
Manage Returning Patients: Select Show All Patients, choose the patient from the dropdown menu, and click New Case.
Exporting and Utilizing Scans
After completing scans, you can access them through the 'Patients' tab. These scans can be exported for patient education or further analysis, enhancing treatment planning and patient engagement.
Use the Margin Tracing Tool
The margin tracing tool provides enhanced control over crown preparation.
Access Tool: Complete the scans and navigate to the Analyze page.
Initiate Tracing: Click the Margin Line button at the bottom of the screen.
Orient Scan: Use the cursor to adjust the occlusal view. Click and hold the gray background to rotate the scan.
Mark Margin: Click on the margin to begin marking. The software will auto-draw the line, but you can click and drag to make manual adjustments.
Finalize: Click Done to save the margin tracing before submitting the case.
