Overview: Learn how to set up your Dandy Portal account, manage secure access, configure clinical preferences and notifications, access pricing, and place/modify/cancel/refabricate orders for dental restorations.
Initialize Your Dandy Portal Account
To begin scanning and submitting cases, you must first complete the doctor's profile.
Locate the Welcome Email: Search your inbox for an email from
doctors@meetdandy.comtitled “Welcome to Dandy! Here’s How to Get Started”.Verify the Account: Copy the verification code provided in the email and select the Set up my Dandy Portal link.
Submit Information: Paste the verification code into the Dandy Portal and select Continue. Enter your account details to create your login credentials.
Confirm Practice Details: Verify that the billing information and shipping addresses are accurate to prevent order delays.
Manage Password and Security
Maintain secure access to the practice account by updating credentials as needed.
Reset a Forgotten Password
Navigate to the Dandy Practice Login Page.
Select Forgot password? at the bottom of the login screen.
Enter the primary account email address and select Continue.
Open the "Forgotten Password Reset" email and select the Reset Password link.
Enter a new password, confirm the password, and select Submit.
Establish Primary User Verification
For first-time setup or account recovery:
Enter the mobile phone number for the primary user when prompted.
Create a secondary backup password for use when SMS is unavailable.
Enter the six-digit SMS verification code sent to the mobile device and select Enter.
Configure Clinical Preferences
Set default specifications for cases to ensure predictable restoration outcomes.
Access Settings: Log in to the Dandy Portal, select the Account (gear icon), and click Clinical Preferences.
Select Product Line: Click Crown & Bridge to set defaults for single unit crowns.
Define Occlusal Tightness: Choose between Heavy, Medium, Light (Default), or No Contact based on your refinement preferences.
Define Proximal Contact: Select Tight, Medium (Default), or Light for the desired drop-in fit.
Set Aesthetic Standards: Choose Staining levels (Dark, Medium, Light) and Restoration Anatomy (Ideal vs. Follow Adjacent Teeth).
Accessing Practice Settings
Open any web browser and navigate to the Dandy Portal login page at
https://practice.meetdandy.com/.Log in to the Dandy Portal using your credentials.
Click the gear icon located in the top right corner of the Dandy Portal screen to open 'Account Settings'.
Select Practice Settings from the 'Account Settings' menu.
Adding a New Delivery Address
Scroll down the Practice Settings page to the 'Delivery addresses' section.
Click the Add delivery address button.
Enter the new delivery address details in the pop-up window.
Click Add delivery address to save the new location to the practice profile.
This new delivery address will now be available for selection during the Chairside checkout process.
Deleting an Existing Delivery Address
Navigate to the 'Delivery addresses' section within Practice Settings.
Locate the specific address you wish to remove.
Click the trash can icon next to the address you want to delete.
The Dandy Portal will remove the selected address from your practice file.
Managing Multiple Locations
Dandy Portal allows each practice to maintain multiple delivery addresses on file. Users will be prompted to select the correct delivery address for every order submitted through the system.
Access Practice Payment Settings
To manage payment information, you must first navigate to the correct section of the Dandy Portal:
Log in to the Dandy Portal.
Click the Account Settings (⚙️) icon in the top navigation.
Select Practice Settings from the dropdown menu.
Scroll down to the Payment Methods section.
Add a Bank Account
Dandy recommends using a bank account as your primary payment method to avoid processing fees.
In the Payment Methods section, click Link bank account.
Enter the Routing number and Account number in the provided fields.
Confirm the account number and click Link bank account.
Note: Linking a new bank account automatically sets it as the default payment method.
Add a Credit or Debit Card
Practices may add cards as a payment method, but please be aware of potential fees.
In the Payment Methods section, click + Other methods.
Select Add credit card.
Enter the card number, expiration date, and CVV.
Click Add Credit Card to save the details to the practice profile.
Understand Processing Fees
Bank Accounts: No processing fees.
Debit Cards: No processing fees.
Credit Cards: May incur a processing fee of up to 2.9% per transaction.
Financial Data Security
Dandy prioritizes the security of practice financial data.
Dandy does not store sensitive ACH or card numbers.
All data is transmitted to Stripe, a PCI Service Provider Level 1 certified processor.
Manage Staff Profiles
Each staff member interacting with Dandy must have a unique profile to customize their portal experience.
Create a New Staff Profile
Access Account Settings and select Staff from the menu.
Click the Add new staff member button.
Enter the staff member's name, unique mobile number, and unique email address.
Assign the appropriate administrative rights and select the staff member's position.
Click Send invite.
Instruct the staff member to click Join in their invitation email and set a password to finalize the profile.
Update or Delete a Staff Profile
Access Account Settings and select Staff.
Click the Pencil Icon next to a staff profile to edit details.
Click the Trashcan Icon to remove a staff profile and revoke access.
Reactivate a Deactivated Staff Profile
Access Account Settings and select Staff.
Click the Deactivated members tab.
Select the checkbox next to the staff member's name.
Click the Reactivate Icon to restore access.
Note: Profiles cannot be merged.
Configure Clinical Preferences For Doctor Profiles
Setting clinical preferences influences the specifications and outcomes of your dental orders.
Access Account Settings and select Clinical Settings.

Crown & Bridge
Implants
Partial and Full Dentures
Retainers
Customize Notifications
Notifications ensure you stay informed about order status and communication.
Access Account Settings and select Notifications.
Choose your preferred delivery method: SMS, Email, or both.

Toggle alerts for specific categories:
Order Status: Delays, cancellations, or "Review Required" holds.
Tracking: Delivery date changes and shipping updates.
Communications: New messages in the portal chat.
Navigate to Portal Pricing
Log in to the Dandy Portal.
Click the Account Settings gear icon (⚙️) found on the Dandy Portal homepage.
Select Pricing guide from the resulting dropdown menu.
Choose a specific product line at the top of the Pricing guide page to display the relevant costs for those items.
View Unique Contract Rates
The Pricing guide automatically displays the specific pricing terms established in the contractual agreement for your practice. Because the Dandy Portal links this data directly to the user account, the displayed rates remain unique to your specific practice.
Print Physical Pricing Records
Open the Pricing guide within the Dandy Portal.
Click the specific product section intended for printing.
Press Ctrl + P on the keyboard to launch the browser print manager.
Follow the prompts in the browser print window to complete the printing process
Create a New Case Order
To start a new order, navigate to the Dandy Practice Portal home screen and follow these steps:
Select the Orders tab from the main navigation menu.
Click the New Order button located at the bottom left of the screen.
Select Start a new case from scratch on the right side of the page.
Enter all required patient details accurately on the Case Setup Page.
Specify the product or service for the order.
Upload the digital scan files from your computer on the final page of the Case Setup.
Review the order details and add any specific notes in the Additional Instructions field.
Select Place your Order on the Checkout Page to complete the submission.
Edit Existing Order Details
Users can edit the shade, material, tooth number, or order-level preferences for active orders directly in the Dandy Practice Portal.
Material and Status Considerations
Order Status: If the order is already in design or fabrication, edits will result in a new order, and the original order will be canceled.
Pricing and Delays: Material changes for ongoing orders may cause delivery delays or pricing adjustments.
Limitations: Edits for aligners, dentures, or contact details must be requested through Dandy support teams.
Steps to Edit an Order
Navigate to the Orders tab and select the specific order.
Make a selection from the Quick order actions menu.
Click the pencil icon next to the field needing adjustment (e.g., Shade, Material, Doctor, or Address).
Review the changes and select Next.
Acknowledge the potential delivery delay by ticking the checkbox.
Click Submit Changes as New Order to finalize the edit.
Cancel an Active Order
Orders can be canceled during the design or fabrication stages. Cancellation is impossible once the order is complete and has an expected delivery date.
Access the Orders tab in the Dandy Practice Portal.
Choose the patient case intended for cancellation.
Click Cancel Order under the Quick order actions menu.
Select a cancellation reason in the appearing survey.

Click the Submit Cancellation button at the bottom of the screen.
Submit a Refabrication Request
Follow these steps to request a refabrication for a completed case:
Log on to the Dandy Practice Portal at practice.meetdandy.com.
Navigate to the Orders Page.
Locate the correct case for refabrication.
Select the Refabricate order button on the right side of the screen.
Follow the on-screen prompts until the case is resubmitted.
