Precautions and Warnings
Single Use Only: This product is intended for single use; reuse increases risks of infection and performance failure.
Sterilization: Do not autoclave or use dry heat sterilization, as thermal treatment will damage the guide.
Disinfection: Perform chemical disinfection (e.g., Cidex OPA Solution - 0.55% ortho-phthaldehyde) before use.
Aspiration Risk: Take care when handling small components to prevent swallowing or aspiration.
Try in the Guide
Place the guide in the patient’s mouth before inserting any abutments.
Confirm the guide provides a tight and secure fit.
Place the Abutment in the Guide
Insert the abutment into the guide, ensuring proper orientation and timing.
Verify the guide holds the abutment securely; you should feel slight resistance during insertion.
Insert the Abutment
Hold the guide gently and seat it onto the patient’s teeth.
Align the abutment with the implant’s orientation and insert it.
If resistance occurs, stop and re-verify alignment with the implant.
Tighten the Abutment Screw
Hold the guide in place and insert the Abutment Screw.
Tighten the screw and take a radiograph to confirm proper seating.
Use a torque wrench for final tightening based on the manufacturer’s specifications.
If soft tissue blanches during seating, proceed slowly before final torquing.
Seal the Screw Head
Cover the screw head using a cotton pellet or material similar to plumber's tape.
Seal the area with a material similar to Cavit.
Final Cementation
Cement the final restoration to the abutment using your preferred method.
Ensure the cementation method is compatible with the specific restoration type.
