Overview: Learn how to submit physical impressions for Full Denture orders using Dandy's pre-paid mail-in service.
Create the Full Denture Order
Before mailing any materials, you must first create a live order in the Dandy Chairside software.
Open the Chairside software and select New Order.
Select Denture (Note: Currently available for the wax rim workflow only).
Enter the patient information and the desired design specifications.
Choose the Mail Physical Impression option within the workflow.
Select any desired add-ons and proceed to Checkout.
Package the Impression for Shipping
Dandy provides all necessary shipping materials and covers the cost of transit.
Disinfect the impression: Sanitize the impression according to industry standards before packaging.
Seal the impression: Place the disinfected impression inside a labeled plastic bag and seal it.
Prepare the box: Place the sealed bag on top of the bottom foam insert in the Dandy-provided box.
Secure the contents: Place the top foam insert and the additional security foam piece over the bag.
Seal the box: Close the box and use adhesive tape to ensure it is secure for transit.
Generate and Attach the Shipping Label
You can access your pre-paid UPS Ground shipping label in two ways:
During Checkout: Print the return label immediately after completing the order in Chairside.
Via the Dandy Portal: If you miss the initial prompt, navigate to the specific order in the Portal to print the label and review shipping instructions.
Accepted Impression Materials
Dandy accepts a variety of materials for physical mail-ins:
Accepted: Polysulfide, Polyether, Polyvinyl Siloxane (PVS), and Zinc Oxide Eugenol (ZOE).
Conditional: Alginate is accepted only if it has been poured into a model form and cured.
Important Note: Do not send custom trays or any items you expect to have returned; Dandy does not return physical trays.
