When a Digital Design Preview is available for review, login to your Portal, locate the order and design, and review it. You will be notified about the readiness of a design preview both on Portal and via email.
Please note: if a redesign is requested, the estimated delivery date of the related physical product also will be adjusted.

How to Review a Digital Design Preview
When a Design Preview is ordered and available for review, you will be prompted to review the design in order to accept or request a redesign.
Step 1 - Navigate to the Order Details Page of the Order
- Log into your Doctor Portal and locate the order whose design preview is ready for review.
Step 2 - Press the 'Open Design Preview' Button
- The 'Open Design Preview' button is located within in the order tracker on the Order Details Page.
- Pressing this button will automatically navigate you into the guided design review workflow.
Step 3 - Review the Design Preview
- The Digital Design Preview workflow will guide you through the review process for each element of the proposed design.
- On the left-hand side, you’ll see clickable categories related to your order, such as margin, contact design, occlusion, etc.
- For each category, you’ll be prompted to either:
- (1) Accept the design
- (2) Request a redesign with additional feedback.
- If you select 'Request Redesign,' you’ll be prompted to answer more questions to specify what you would like adjusted in the redesign.
- To move the guided review process, use the green 'Continue' button at the bottom portion of the screen. This will navigate you from one category of feedback to the next.
- For each category, you’ll be prompted to either:

Skip to submission: If you prefer to bypass the individual categories, you can select the 'Skip to Submit Review' button to finalize your feedback without reviewing each category.
How to Navigate through the Design Preview Workflow
Throughout the design preview workflow, you'll be prompted to either accept or reject certain aspects of the design. Accepting or requesting to design will have different effects on how you move through the platform as a whole.
- Accepting the design: select the 'Accept' label and press the 'Continue' button.

Request redesign: select the 'Redesign' label and press the continue button.
- Providing feedback on the redesign is essential for aligning your desired outcomes with our design team.
Step 1 - Provide feedback ('Accept' or 'Redesign') for each design category
Clicking into the design categories on the lefthand side allows you to choose between accepting or requesting a redesign on that specific category. Navigate through each and select either 'Accept' or 'Redesign'.
- Note: Navigating through all of these categories and selecting either 'Accept' or 'Redesign' is critical feedback for our designers.
- To start, click into 'Tooth Design on the left. You will be prompted to either accept or request a redesign on that tooth design. Continue through the next category on the lefthand side. In the image shown below, the next category is 'Margin'.
If 'Redesign' is chosen, you will be prompted to provide more specific details about why this category needs redesigned.
- For example: in the image shown below, the margin needed redesigned. Once the 'Redesign' button is selected, additional details about this redesign appear under the 'Sorry about that, what should we change?' header.
- Once each of these fields is completed, a freeform text box will appear for additional typed out notes if needed.
After you have selected 'Accept' or 'Redesign' in all of the categories on the lefthand side, navigate to the 'General View' category to add final pieces of feedback.
Step 2 - Navigate through the 'General View' category
On the lefthand side, select the 'General View' category. Provide additional feedback through the provided fields.
- Note: mark the 'Other Notes' box to add additional, freeform notes on the design.
Step 3 - Submit your redesign feedback
Submit your redesign feedback. Information on the redesign including will be available on the Order Details Page of your Portal. Images of the Portal experience after submission are shown in the 'Post-Approval Process' section shown below.
Post-Approval Process
The Design Preview will follow one of three paths once it's delivered.
Path 1 - Acceptance by the Provider
If the Design Preview is accepted, a confirmation screen appears that will display your estimated delivery date for the physical product.
Path 2 - Rejection by the Provider
If the Design Preview is rejected, an alternate screen will display the delivery date of the new design preview.
Path 3 - No Action by the Provider
If no action is taken by the deadline, the order proceeds to fabrication, and a notification displays the estimated delivery date of the physical product.
