Order a Physical Wax-Up in Chairside
Users must approve a design preview before Dandy initiates production of the Physical Wax-Up and Matrix.
Select the Order Type
Navigate to the main menu ordering screen in Chairside and select Wax-Up's & Matrix.
Choose Physical Wax-Up + Matrix from the available options.
Physical Wax-Up Benefits
A Physical Wax-Up provides patients with a precise preview of the expected final dental outcome. Dandy uses the Physical Wax-Up as a diagnostic tool to assess tooth shape, the smile line, occlusion, and vertical dimension.
Matrix Material Options
A matrix for temporaries is added automatically to every Physical Wax-Up order.
Clear Silicone Matrix
The Clear Silicone Matrix is a transparent material that acts as a preparation guide. The transparent matrix allows the clinician to visualize the space available for the final restoration. The Clear Silicone Matrix helps ensure proper tooth reduction and accurate temporary placement.
Putty Matrix
The Putty Matrix is a traditional material used for strong support. Clinicians use the Putty Matrix when fabricating temporaries that require significant structural support.
Fabrication and Delivery
Dandy fabricates all physical wax-ups using 3D-printing technology. The standard turnaround time for a Physical Wax-Up order is eight business days.
