Try-in Denture is Too Loose or Rocking

If you are completing the denture try-in appointment and the try-in denture is too loose or rocking, please use the following steps to ensure the next try-in and/or final denture is correct. 

Step-by-Step Process

1. Relieve intaglio of try-in denture base using a carbide bur if necessary to avoid unwanted addition to the patient's VDO.
2. Place wash impression in upper and/or lower try-in denture.
3. Scan try-in denture(s) extraorally 360 degrees. (Upper and/or Lower)
4. If applicable, scan the opposing arch (Upper or Lower) intraorally.

5. Scan the full arch bite extraorally or scan the left and right bite intraorally.
