Overview: This article guides dental professionals through the step-by-step workflow for managing monolithic denture try-ins using the Chairside software.
Monolithic Try-in Overview
Denture try-ins use a Monolithic Try-in, an off-white 3D-printed denture. This appliance mimics the final prosthesis to verify fit and aesthetics without using final denture teeth. Clinicians can select straight-to-finish fabrication or a try-in during the initial checkout flow.

Provide Feedback on Alignment and Aesthetics
The feedback workflow allows for specific adjustments to the denture try-in:
Midline, VDO, or Bite: Select categories that require changes or select Skip - proceed to arch feedback if no changes are needed.
Tooth Length and Shape: Identify necessary changes to tooth morphology, extensions, or retention.
Arch Verification: If the appliance is satisfactory, select Skip - upper arch is perfect to continue.
Determine Next Steps and Fabrication
Based on the feedback provided, clinicians must choose the next phase of the denture process.
Denture Try-ins will not be returned to Dandy - a scanning process will be used to continue the case.
Proceed to Final Fabrication: Select this if the try-in fit and aesthetics are correct.
Request New Try-in: Select this if significant structural changes are required. Review all entered feedback and select the Select feedback button to submit the requirements to Dandy.
