Learn how to set up TMJ and TMD appliance cases in the Chairside software, including patient selection and product configuration.
Enter Patient Information in Chairside
Select Start on the Chairside homescreen.
Input the first and last name of the patient.

Choose the patient type:
Existing Patients: Select the patient name and then click Order Something New.
New Patients: Complete the first and last name, select the gender, and enter the birth date.
Select Create and Continue to move to product selection. Note: If the request is for a refabrication, please see the guide on How To Refabricate An Order.
Select TMJ or TMD Products
Choose the Splints, Guards, & TMJ category from the product menu.
Select TMJ to view available appliance options.

Select the specific TMJ or TMD device required for the case:
NTI
Anterior Deprogrammer
Dawson B-Splint
Gelb
Review the TMD/TMJ Appliance Options guide if assistance is needed in selecting a device.
Select the desired arch or arches for the appliance.
Select Next.
Complete Case Setup and Begin Scanning
Select Start Scanning if the current products are correct and no additional items are needed.
Select Edit TMD/TMJ Device if changes to the selected appliance are required before scanning.
