This guide explains how to order a compatible scan body for implant restorations using the Dandy portal and how to track the scan body order status
Prerequisites
Access to the Dandy portal.
Patient implant details (manufacturer, system, and platform size).
A digital copy of the surgical report or a mobile device to scan a QR code.
Access the scan body order page
Navigate to the Supplies tab within the Dandy portal. Select the Order Scan Bodies page to begin the request.
Enter patient and implant details
Enter the patient's information into the required fields in the Dandy portal. Specify whether the case requires a single-unit restoration or a bridge. Select the specific dental sites for the restoration. Provide the implant manufacturer, system name, and platform size to ensure the Dandy portal identifies the correct components.
Select part preferences
Indicate a preference for either authentic or generic parts for the scan body. Users may also select the Lab choice option to allow Dandy lab technicians to determine the best parts for the specific case.
Upload the surgical report
Upload the surgical report from a computer to the Dandy portal. Alternatively, use a mobile phone camera to scan the QR code displayed on the screen to upload the report. The Dandy portal will automatically match the implant system to the compatible scan body based on this report and the provided information.
Finalize and submit the order
Add the matched scan body to the cart. Enter the scheduled appointment date, any specific doctor requests, and the practice delivery address. Submit the order to initiate shipping.
Note: Please allow one week for the delivery of the scan body to the practice after placing the order.
