Assembly Instructions

Prepare Lower Assembly

  1. Pull down the flap from box.
    Remove protective foam.
Roll lower assembly out from box.

  2. Remove the protective tape from the top back panel of the lower assembly.
Then remove back panel and caps, and place to the side for future use.
  3. Locate handle in the monitor & handle box.
Push the handle down onto the lower cart assembly firmly. The post of the cart should come through the hole of the handle.
  4. Confirm the handle is installed with the opening pointing toward the back of the cart.

Install upper assembly

  1. Place the upper cart assembly onto the same post which connects the lower cart assembly and handle.
  2. Move cables out of the way before securing upper and lower assemblies.
  3. Using the large Allen wrench secure both the upper and lower assemblies with screw B as well as the handle with screw H, as shown in the diagram.
Screw B is critical to the integrity of the cart and must be fully tightened. If your cart is wobbling at the end of assembly try tightening this screw more.
  4. Unwrap the interior cables.
Connect the 5 upper cables (A-E) to their corresponding lower cables, which are labeled with the same letter and color coding.
  5. There should be 5 connected sets of cables.

Install the monitor

  1. To install the monitor, start by rotating the lower assembly so the back is facing you.
  2. With the monitor separate from the stand, insert 2 A screws into each of the top 2 holes on the back of the monitor. Do not fully tighten yet.
  3. Slide the monitor down onto the mounting plate so that the top 2 A screws are sitting in the slots on the top.
  4. Insert 2 more A screws to the bottom 2 holes of the mounting plate.
  5. Tighten all 4 A screws to completely secure the monitor to the cart.
  6. To connect the monitor cables, identify and remove the cover of the left side cable cove.
  7. Unwrap the cables. Identify cables C, A, and E, and plug them into the ports as shown above.
  8. Replace the cover on the cable cove by pressing down firmly until it snaps into place.

Power on assembly

  1. Plug in the power cable to the battery on the lower assembly.
  2. Plug the cart into a wall socket. To turn on your Dandy Cart, press and hold the power button on the lower assembly as shown in the diagram for 1-2 seconds until a green light illuminates.
  3. Wait up to 1 minute for computer to automatically power on. If you do not see a power light after 1 minute, then press the button on the back of the computer.
  4. Press the button on the monitor to verify that the cart powers on.
Check the touch function and the the computer display prior to finishing assembly to ensure that connections are made properly.

Install scanner holster, back panel, and scanner

  1. With the back of the cart facing you, push the cords into the neck of the cart, then firmly press the panel into place. The panel will not close properly if the cables are not neatly pushed to the back of the neck.
Use the small Allen wrench, a washer, and screw D to attach the back panel to the cart.
Use the large Allen wrench to insert screw F into the lower hole.
  2. Locate the holster. With the cart facing forward, align the 2 small pegs of the scanner holster with small holes on the cart. Then, continue to tighten screw D into the holster until it feels secure.
Screw D is critical to the integrity of the cart and must be fully tightened. If your cart is wobbling at the end of assembly try tightening this screw more.
  3. Snap the lower cap back on. When installed correctly, the back panel, cap, and scanner holster will be secure. Turn cart around to face the front.
  4. Plug the USB-C cable into the Dandy Vision Scanner.
Place the scanner in the scanner holster, and locate the USB-A port near the underside of the holster.
  5. Plug the USB-A side of the cable into the USB-A port near the underside of the scanner holder.
  6. When installed correctly, the scanner and cables will feel secure.

Install the mirror tip storage accessory

  1. Use the large Allen wrench to attach 2 C screws in the upper section of the back panel. Leave a small amount of the screw protruding so that you can mount the mirror tip storage accessory securely.
  2. Align the holes on the back of the mirror tip storage accessory with the 2 screws.
  3. Hook the mirror tip storage accessory box onto the screws.
  4. When properly installed, the mirror tip and keyboard storage accessories will be secure.

Your Dandy Cart set up is complete.
