Getting Your Dandy Portal Account Started

This article explains how to set up a portal account, manage portal passwords, practice settings, and clinical preferences. 

Initial Set-Up

To begin scanning and submitting cases, you must first complete the doctor's profile.

  1. Locate the Welcome Email: Search your inbox for an email from doctors@meetdandy.com titled “Welcome to Dandy! Here’s How to Get Started”.

  2. Verify the Account: Copy the verification code provided in the email and select the Set up my Dandy Portal link.

  3. Submit Information: Paste the verification code into the Dandy Portal and select Continue. Enter your account details to create your login credentials.

  4. Confirm Practice Details: Verify that the billing information and shipping addresses are accurate to prevent order delays.

Manage Password and Security

Maintain secure access to the practice account by updating credentials as needed.

Reset a Forgotten Password

  1. Navigate to the Dandy Practice Login Page.

  2. Select Forgot password? at the bottom of the login screen.

  3. Enter the primary account email address and select Continue.

  4. Open the "Forgotten Password Reset" email and select the Reset Password link.

  5. Enter a new password, confirm the password, and select Submit.

Establish Primary User Verification

For first-time setup or account recovery:

  1. Enter the mobile phone number for the primary user when prompted.

  2. Create a secondary backup password for use when SMS is unavailable.

  3. Enter the six-digit SMS verification code sent to the mobile device and select Enter.

Configure Clinical Preferences

Set default specifications for cases to ensure predictable restoration outcomes.

  1. Access Settings: Log in to the Dandy Portal, select the Account (gear icon), and click Clinical Preferences.

  2. Select Product Line: Click Crown & Bridge to set defaults for single unit crowns.

  3. Define Occlusal Tightness: Choose between Heavy, Medium, Light (Default), or No Contact based on your refinement preferences.

  4. Define Proximal Contact: Select Tight, Medium (Default), or Light for the desired drop-in fit.

  5. Set Aesthetic Standards: Choose Staining levels (Dark, Medium, Light) and Restoration Anatomy (Ideal vs. Follow Adjacent Teeth).

Accessing Practice Settings

  1. Open any web browser and navigate to the Dandy Portal login page at https://practice.meetdandy.com/.

  2. Log in to the Dandy Portal using your credentials.

  3. Click the gear icon located in the top right corner of the Dandy Portal screen to open 'Account Settings'.

  4. Select Practice Settings from the 'Account Settings' menu.

Adding a New Delivery Address

  1. Scroll down the Practice Settings page to the 'Delivery addresses' section.

  2. Click the Add delivery address button.

  3. Enter the new delivery address details in the pop-up window.

  4. Click Add delivery address to save the new location to the practice profile.

  5. This new delivery address will now be available for selection during the Chairside checkout process.

Deleting an Existing Delivery Address

  1. Navigate to the 'Delivery addresses' section within Practice Settings.

  2. Locate the specific address you wish to remove.

  3. Click the trash can icon next to the address you want to delete.

  4. The Dandy Portal will remove the selected address from your practice file.

Managing Multiple Locations

Dandy Portal allows each practice to maintain multiple delivery addresses on file. Users will be prompted to select the correct delivery address for every order submitted through the system.
