Dandy sleep test explained, how the patient will remain in contact with our Sleep Coordinator, and how the patient will activate the Sleep Ring to conduct an at-home sleep test.
What to expect once the sleep test has been submitted through Chairside
- The patient will be given a Sleep Ring device
- The patient will receive a text from the Dandy Patient coordinator
- Dandy will activate the Sleep Ring device
The patient will be given a Sleep Ring device
- At the initial appointment, the patient will be scanned
- After scanning, the practice will submit the sleep test case in Chairside
- Once the sleep test has been initiated in Chairside, the Dandy Patient Coordinator will reach out to the patient directly
- Be sure to send the patient home with one of the Sleep Ring devices so they can conduct their at-home sleep study
- The at-home sleep study can not be done without the Sleep Ring
- Instruct the patient to bring the Sleep Ring back at delivery
The patient will receive a text from the Dandy Patient Coordinator
- Once the sleep test has been initiated through chairside, Dandy will contact the patient directly
- The Dandy Patient Coordinator will discuss:
- Send Sleep test instructions
- Collect required forms and documentation
- Gather identification and medical insurance information
- Answer any questions the patient may have and guide them through the next steps
- Once all the required information has been sent to the Sleep Coordinator
- Verifies insurance benefits
- Determines coverage eligibility
- Estimates patients out of pocket cost
- Insurance verification takes about 2-3 business days
- Throughout the process, the Patient Coordinator remains in contact with the patient to help complete any outstanding requirements and keep the case moving forward.
Dandy will activate the Sleep Ring device
- Once patient onboarding has been completed and insurance has been verified, Dandy will activate the sleep ring and send the patient credentials to create their SleepImage account
- The patient will do the following
- Download SleepImage app
- Create an account using the provided credentials
- Pair the Sleep Ring device
- Complete the one-night sleep study
- Once the sleep study is complete, the results will automatically be sent to our board-certified Sleep Doctor.
- Our sleep doctor will review the results and notify the patient and doctor of the following
- Diagnosis
- Recommended treatment plan
- Insurance coverage details
- Estimated out-of-pocket cost
