Troubleshooting Wireless Mouse Connectivity

Follow these steps to resolve issues where the Logitech M220 wireless mouse fails to connect to the laptop.

Check the USB Receiver Connection

  1. Locate the USB receiver inside the battery compartment on the bottom of the mouse.

  2. Plug the USB receiver directly into an available USB port on the laptop.

  3. Ensure the USB receiver is pushed firmly into the port to establish a secure connection.

  4. If the laptop lacks available ports, connect the USB receiver to a Dandy-provided USB hub.

Perform Port and System Resets

  1. Remove the USB receiver and plug the receiver into a different USB port on the laptop.

  2. Keep the USB receiver plugged in and restart the laptop to refresh the hardware connection.

Troubleshooting Laptop Keyboard Failures

Use these procedures if the built-in laptop keyboard is unresponsive or physically damaged.

Perform Basic Maintenance and Cleaning

  1. Restart the laptop to clear temporary software glitches affecting keyboard input.

  2. Inspect the spaces between keys for dirt, dust, or debris.

  3. Gently clean the keyboard area to ensure no external material is blocking key movement.

Identify Physical Damage and Liquid Spills

  1. Check for sticky keys or keys that provide no tactile response when pressed.

  2. Confirm if any liquid has been spilled on the laptop keyboard recently.

  3. Note that liquid damage typically requires professional repair or full device replacement.
