How Do I Send My Impression
- Place the impression in the box (Dandy will provide the shipping materials)
- Please disinfect the impression/impressions first
- Seal in a labelled plastic bag
- Place on top of the bottom foam
- Place the top foam
- Place the additional piece of foam to secure the contents
- Close and seal the box
- Attach mailing label
- Ship to us to digitize

- Can I use the mail-in workflow without scanning?
- Yes! There is no requirement to scan the impression
- Simply select the Mail Physical Impression option during checkout and follow the shipping instructions.
- Do users have the option of mailing in physical impressions for submission on an ongoing basis?
- This solution is currently designed specifically for full denture and wax rim orders and is accessible to all customers.
- Case types:
- Dandy Full Dentures (including Immediate Dentures) - using the wax rim workflow
- What impression trays are accepted?
- Dandy will accept trays that you already use in your denture workflows.
- Custom trays will not be provided during the pilot
- Trays are not to be returned
- Please don't send anything that you expect to be returned
- What type of impression material does Dandy accept?
- Dandy accepts a range of different impression materials, including alginate (if poured into model form and cured), polysulfide, polyether, or polyvinyl siloxane (PVS), oxide eugenol (ZOE),
- What type of impression materials are not accepted?
- Alginate impressions should be poured into models due to their inability to travel.
- Do I have to pay to ship impressions to Dandy?
- No, Dandy will cover all shipping charges associated with the transfer of your impressions.
- How do I get my impressions to Dandy?
- Dandy will provide participants with pre-paid shipping labels (sent individually in empty pre-packaged boxes) for UPS pickup/delivery.
- Does Dandy provide shipping materials?
- Yes. We provide: Pre-paid UPS shipping labels & Protective shipping boxes with foam inserts.
- What shipping services does Dandy offer?
- Standard Ground with UPS at no cost to customers.
- Are there any sanitation steps required before sending physical impressions to Dandy?
- Yes. Dandy requests that impressions be sanitized before packaging/shipping per industry standards.
- How should the impressions be packaged for shipping?
- Please refer to the shipping instructions provided within the ordering portal.
- How long does it take for Dandy to receive my physical impressions once picked up from the carrier?
- UPS Ground or 2D Air (2-day shipping)
- Is there a processing fee for scanning my impressions for me?
- Presently, this service is free, but Dandy reserves the right to charge for it in the future.
- Are there any additional requirements for customers to leverage this mail-in workflow?
- Impression mail-in must first submit an order via the Dandy Chairside using the new impression mail-in workflow, which will create a live order.

You should only send a physical impression if you have already submitted an order via Dandy Chairside by scanning that impression using the new Impression Scanning workflow.
