Overview: Learn how to connect a Dandy TRIOS 5 Wireless scanner to the Chairside software using a TP-Link adapter. This guide covers serial number input, battery installation, and software confirmation.
Connect the Dandy TRIOS 5 Wireless Scanner
Prepare the Hardware Connection
Locate the TP-Link adapter.

Insert the TP-Link adapter into an available USB port:
Laptop users: Plug directly into the laptop USB port.
Dandy Cart users: Plug into the USB port located below the scanner holster.
Initiate Software Connection
Open the Chairside software on the laptop.
Locate the menu status reading Scanner not connected.
Select the option: Using a TRIOS 5? Connect.
Enter Scanner Identification
Locate the serial number (preceded by S/N) on the scanner body.
Input the serial number into the software prompt.
Enter a unique office name for the scanner to help with identification.
Click the green Continue button.
Power the Scanner and Finalize
Remove a fully charged battery from the charger.
Insert the battery into the base of the Dandy TRIOS 5 scanner.
Verify that Dandy TRIOS Wired appears as the Selected scanner in the software.
Click Finish to complete the connection process.
