Configure and Troubleshoot Your Dandy TRIOS 5 Wireless Scanner

Overview: Learn how to connect, pair, and troubleshoot the Dandy TRIOS 5 Wireless scanner using Dandy Chairside software.

System Preparation and Adapter Connection

  1. Locate the TP-Link wireless adapter included with the scanner equipment.

  2. Insert the TP-Link wireless adapter directly into an available USB port on the Dandy laptop. Do not use USB hubs, docking stations, or USB extension adapters.

  3. Position the TP-Link wireless adapter outward to form an “L” shape. Do not fold the TP-Link wireless adapter inward during scanner use.

  4. Close all software applications on the laptop except for the Dandy Chairside software. Ensure all 3Shape software applications, including 3Shape Unite, are fully closed.

  • Dandy laptops must remain plugged into a power source during scanning and equipment setup.

  • Internet connection quality impacts data uploads, software updates, and AI tools, but internet performance does not directly impact scanner image capture quality.
