Overview: This guide explains how to configure a new night guard case, follow the correct scan path, and submit the order to Dandy using an iTero scanner.
Configure Patient Information
Select New Scan on the iTero home screen.
Enter the patient's first name, last name, date of birth, and gender in the required fields.
Select Order Specifications
Select Appliance in the Procedure field.
Select Night Guard in the Type field.
Choose Dandy as the laboratory in the Send To field to ensure the order routes correctly.
Capture Digital Impressions
Click the scanner icon located in the top ribbon to open the scanning page.
Identify the arch to begin scanning by looking for the blue outline on the screen.
Scan the lower and upper arches by following an occlusal > lingual > buccal scan path.
Capture the bite by using a swooping motion from the posterior teeth toward the canine.
Confirm that the bite scan includes 2 - 3mm of gingiva for accurate appliance fitting.
Process and Submit the Case
Select the magnifying glass icon from the top ribbon to process the digital scans.
Click the mail icon to initiate the submission.
Select Send when the confirmation pop-up appears to finalize the order to Dandy.
