Returning the Dandy Equipment

Overview: Learn how to safely package and return your Dandy scanner, laptop, and accessories using the provided prepaid return materials.

Reasons for Returns

This section details the distribution process for shipping materials and labels, depending on the reason for returning the equipment.

• Upgrading or swapping equipment:
  • A prepaid shipping label will be sent with your new equipment. Use these shipping materials to pack up the old equipment.
• Ending a contract with Dandy:
  • Contact your Account Manager.
  • Within a few business days of speaking with your Account Manager, you will receive shipping materials and a prepaid return label to mail all Dandy equipment back. 

If a return label is not included with your package, please contact Dandy to request one. 

Equipment Return Checklists

To ensure a successful return, verify all items are included in the return package.

Dandy Trios Wired Components

The Dandy Trios Wired equipment must be neatly packed across two tiers separated by black foam. Include the following items:

• One scanner wand and one protection tip

• Five mirror tips and one 3D calibration tip

• Two color calibration adapters and one color calibration target

• One dongle (typically plugged into the laptop)

• One Ethernet to USB-C converter and one Ethernet cable

• One scanner pod (base)

• One power cord and adapter

Dandy Trios Wireless Components

Ensure the Dandy Trios Wireless return includes these specific items:

• One scanner wand and one protection tip

• Five scan tips

• One scanner base and one battery charger with a power cable

• Three batteries

• One TP-Link wireless adapter

• One USB dongle (typically plugged into the laptop)

Dandy Vision Components

The Dandy Vision scanner package includes the following components: 

• Dandy Vision scanner 
• Scanner stand 
• USB-A to USB-C connection cable 
• Five mirror tips
•  Instruction manual 
• Quick start guide

Laptop and Accessories

• Laptop: Place the laptop inside the provided protective laptop mailer.

• Accessories: Include the laptop power cord, power adapter, and the mouse with its corresponding dongle.

Non-Returnable Items

The equipment cart provided to the practice does not need to be returned to Dandy. The practice may keep or dispose of the cart. (not the All-In-One Dandy Cart)

Shipping Instructions

Follow these steps to complete the shipping process:

1. Pack Equipment: Securely pack all verified items into the 22” x 14” x 12” shipping box.

2. Apply Label: Place the provided prepaid UPS return label over any existing shipping labels on the box.

3. Arrange Dropoff: Drop the package off at any authorized UPS location.
