Add an Additional Item to an In-Progress Order

Overview: This article explains how to add supplemental items (like retainers or guards) to an existing dental order while it is still in progress.

Eligible Add-On Items

You can add the following items to qualifying in-progress orders:

• Retainers

• Night guards

• Sports guards

• Bleaching trays

Steps to Add an Item to an Order

Follow these instructions in the Dandy Portal to modify your order:

Locate the Order

1. Navigate to the specific patient case in the Dandy Portal.

2. Click the Modify Rx button on the order you wish to update.

Select the Additional Item

1. Select the Add Extra option.

2. Choose your desired item from the provided list and click Next.

3. Set your specific design options for the new item and click Add to Order.

Review and Submit

1. Click Next to proceed.

2. Review the original order; if no further edits are needed, click Next again.

3. Acknowledge the notice regarding the order delay and click Submit as New Order.

The add-on item will now appear as a "split order" with its own delivery date.
