Overview: Learn how to operate the buttons on the Dandy TRIOS wireless scanner wand to control scanning functions and navigate 3D scan models.
Scanner Wand Button Functions
The Dandy TRIOS Wireless Scanner wand features a primary Scan button and a Remote button. The Scan button and the Remote button share identical capabilities and function completely interchangeably. Either physical button can be used to execute all supported hardware workflow functions.
Control Scanning Activity
To control live scanning actions with the Dandy TRIOS Wireless Scanner wand, use the following button steps:
Press the Scan button or the Remote button once to start recording data.
Press the Scan button or the Remote button a second time to stop recording data.
Navigate Scan Stages
To advance forward through successive software scan steps, complete the following button step:
Double-click the Scan button or the Remote button to move forward to the next scan stage.
Note: Workflow stage progression must be executed using the double-click action. The physical navigation wheel function is completely omitted from this workflow.
Control 3D Models
To manipulate and inspect the 3D model data on your screen during or after a scan workflow, complete the following button actions:
Press and hold down the Scan button or the Remote button.
Move the physical scanner wand through the air to rotate the 3D model on the display screen.
Note: Rotating the 3D model is the only supported interaction function available when using the scanner wand buttons.
Exit Remote Mode
The Dandy TRIOS Wireless Scanner wand does not require a separate operational mode configuration to handle remote screen interactions. To exit the 3D model viewing interface and return the scanner wand to normal capture capabilities, follow these steps:
View the computer desktop monitor.
Select the Exit Remote button choice on the computer screen to instantly return the scanner wand to standard scanning mode.
Notes on Navigation
- The Navigation Wheel function is not used in this workflow
- Stage progression is completed using double-click only
- No separate Remote Mode is required
