Access and Navigate Dandy Chairside Software Features

Navigate the Top Toolbar Features

The top toolbar provides access to essential administrative settings, software documentation, and communication tools.

  • Edit: Review keyboard shortcuts for software navigation.

  • About: View the current version of the Dandy Chairside software.

  • Instructions For Use (IFUs): Access external links for the Dandy Warranty, Safety Data Sheets, Patient Instructions, and Doctor Instructions.

  • House Icon: Returns the user to the software home page.

  • Orders: Access the interface to find and manage existing lab orders.

  • Patients: View patient profiles and manage both submitted and unsubmitted orders.

  • Clinical Tools: Access the Instant Smile Simulator for patient consultations.

  • Help & Training: Schedule professional training sessions or access the Help Center and Dandy Academy resource libraries.

    • Dandy Academy- Self-guided training sessions for equipment setup, software exploration, and clinical best practices.
  • Supplies: Order scan bodies or access the Dandy Shop for equipment needs.

  • Get Support: Open a live chat with the Dandy team for general support or clinical assistance from lab technicians.

  • Search Bar: Search patient names to review specific patient records and orders.

  • Status Icons: Monitor scanner connectivity, network strength, and computer power levels.

  • Volume and Notifications: Adjust scanner volume and review case updates via the Notification Bell.

  • Gear Icon: Manage account settings, practice details, and clinical preferences.

Use the Left Side Navigation Panel

The left side panel contains the primary action buttons for starting clinical workflows and maintaining equipment.

  • Start: Begin a new patient case.

  • Instant Smile Simulator: Generate treatment previews using patient photographs.

  • Calibration: Access guided routines for weekly scanner maintenance.

  • Diagnostic Scan: Perform general scans for patient education or future ordering.

  • Training Mode: Practice software workflows without creating active lab orders.

  • Team Collaboration: Join a video call with a lab technician or schedule time with the IT team for software feedback.

Access the Central and Right Dashboards

The central and right panels track the progress of active and pending orders.

  • Unsubmitted Orders (Central): Displays all orders that have not yet been sent to the lab.

  • Patient Tab (Top): Location for finding completed diagnostic scans.

  • Track Your Orders (Right): Displays real-time status updates for all submitted orders.
