Overview: Scan stitch errors typically occur when new images are scanned into a previously trimmed area on the Prep arch. Follow these instructions to resolve the error and ensure your Trios scanner properly locates its position.
Resolve errors by starting outside trimmed areas
To prevent the scanner from mislocating its position on the arch, you must begin scanning from an untrimmed section.
Identify the trimmed area on the Prep arch.
Position the Trios scanner tip over a non-trimmed, existing scan area.
Begin scanning and move toward the trimmed area to "stitch" the new data to the existing scan.
Resolve persistent Prep arch and scan body issues
If the scanner cannot find its position after following the steps above, you may need to clear the current data.
Clear the current scan data for the affected arch.
Rescan the entire arch from the beginning.
Note: Stitching errors can also occur when scans are transferred from the Pre-Prep scan into the Prep scan, or when an emergence profile is transferred into the scan body scan page.
