Night Guard Preference Options

Overview: Dandy provides various customization options for night guards to ensure the final product matches specific patient needs and clinical preferences.

Anterior ramp

The anterior ramp is a large disoccluding element on the night guard. This element allows only anterior teeth to make contact during occlusion.

Guidance options

Dandy offers two primary guidance configurations to manage how teeth interact during jaw movement:

  • Anterior guidance: This configuration prevents posterior teeth from occluding during lateral excursive movements.

  • Canine guidance: This configuration prevents posterior teeth from occluding during horizontal excursive movements.

Occlusal surface types

You may select one of two surface types for the night guard's biting surface:

     1. Follow anatomy: The occlusal surface follows the natural contours and shapes of the patient's teeth.

     2. Flat plane: The occlusal surface is manufactured as a level, flat plane.

Night guard height

Choose the vertical extension of the night guard on the teeth:

     1. Halfway on tooth: The night guard extends halfway down the clinical crown of the teeth.

     2. Height of contour: The night guard extends to the height of contour, which is the widest part of each

         tooth.
