Manage Dandy Shipments Using FedEx Delivery Manager®

Overview: Use FedEx Delivery Manager® to customize Dandy package delivery times, request shipment holds, or provide specific driver instructions for your practice.

Prerequisites

FedEx Delivery Manager® features are only available to practices located in residential-zoned areas. Commercial-zoned practices cannot use FedEx Delivery Manager® and should use Dandy Portal notifications for tracking instead.

Benefits of FedEx Delivery Manager®

Residential practices can use FedEx Delivery Manager® to perform the following actions:

  • Save specific delivery instructions for the FedEx driver.

  • Place vacation or "out of office" holds on Dandy shipments.

  • View photo proof of delivery for completed shipments.

  • Provide a digital signature for packages.

  • Request delivery reattempts or redirects if a delivery is missed.

Create a FedEx Delivery Manager® Account

Follow these steps to set up a new account:

  1. Navigate to the FedEx Delivery Manager® website.

  2. Select Sign Up for Free in the center of the screen.

  3. Enter the email and mobile number of the practice member responsible for tracking lab cases.

  4. Input the practice name and shipping address exactly as they appear on Dandy shipping labels.

  5. Create a unique username, password, and security question.

  6. Enter the activation code sent by FedEx to verify the account.

Configure Practice Profile Settings

Once the FedEx account is verified, update the practice profile to enable specific features:

  1. Select the My profile button located under the user name.

  2. Review and update practice contact information.

  3. Select Add a shipping account to https://www.google.com/search?q=link the practice address.

  4. Create and save permanent delivery instructions for the FedEx driver.

  5. Configure vacation holds if the practice will be closed.

Manage Deliveries for Commercial Practices

If FedEx notifies the user that the address is a commercial or business location, FedEx Delivery Manager® features will be restricted. Dandy recommends these practices opt-in to Dandy Portal notifications instead:

  1. Sign in to the Dandy Portal.

  2. Navigate to the Order Tracking Updates section.

  3. Select Email or SMS to receive real-time status updates for Dandy orders.
