Manage Case Deliveries During Practice Closures

Overview: Manage case deliveries and production schedules when a dental practice is temporarily closed for vacations, holidays, or illness.

Manage Orders Currently in Production

If a case status shows the order is currently in the design or manufacturing phase, Dandy can hold the shipment until the practice reopens.

  1. Check the case status in the Dandy Portal.

  2. Contact the Dandy support team to request a production hold.

  3. Provide the specific date the practice will be ready to receive the shipment.

Manage Orders Currently in Transit

Dandy cannot redirect or adjust delivery dates for orders that have already shipped. Practice staff must manage these deliveries directly through the shipping partner's management tools.

Adjust FedEx Delivery Dates

To manage a FedEx shipment, follow these steps within the FedEx Delivery Manager® portal:

  1. Sign in to the FedEx Delivery Manager® website.

  2. Select the profile icon located in the upper right corner of the screen.

  3. Click View/Edit Instructions under the delivery address section.

  4. Select Vacation Hold to pause deliveries until the practice reopens.

Adjust UPS Delivery Dates

To manage a UPS shipment, follow these steps within the UPS My Choice® for Business portal:

  1. Sign in to the UPS My Choice® Business Solutions website.

  2. Click the View Dashboard button.

  3. Locate the Inbound Packages section and select the View Details arrow.

  4. Select the specific delivery to modify the delivery date or location.
