This article provides instructions on how to submit a refabriaction request via the Portal.
Note: You can also submit a refabrication request via Chairside while the patient is in chair. Learn more about this Chairside workflow here.
Submitting a Refabrication in the Doctor Portal
Step 1 - Log on to your Doctor Portal
- Log on to your Doctor Portal at practice.meetdandy.com
Step 2 - Navigate to the Order Details page
- Navigate to the Order Details page of the respective order.
- To access this page, select the 'Orders' tab from the navigation bar at the top of your Portal. From there, find the respective order from the list of orders.
Step 3 - Select the 'Refabricate order' button
- On the Order Details page, find the 'Quick order actions' menu on the righthand side.
- From this menu, select the 'Refabricate order' button.
- Note: once you select the 'Refabricate order' button, you will be guided through the remaining steps in refabrication workflow. Be mindful of the instructions and options available at each step
Step 4 - Identify which case you wish to refabricate
- From the list of orders provided, identify the specific order you with the refabricate.
Step 5 - Identify issues with the order
- From the list provided, select the specific issues that require the order to be refabricated.
- This ensures the lab understands what needs to be addressed.
Step 6 - Add additional scans (if needed)
- If you are not planning on rescanning the patient, you also have the option of included other saved scans.
- All available scans can be used, including:
- Diagnostic scans.
- Chairside scans from other cases.
- Scans uploaded from your computer.
- Use the 'Preview' link to preview the scan before selecting it to be used. Confirm the quality of your scans at this step to ensure accuracy.
- Important: If you skip this step, the refabrication will use the original scans submitted with this case by default.
Step 7 - Share any additional information (if needed)
- Once on this menu, you have the opportunity to include additional information, including:
- Add written instructions
- Attach files, photos, or x-rays
- Add on a Digital Design Preview
Step 8 - Review the original design
- View the original design for the order based on the original scans submitted for this case. Mark up the design as needed.
Step 9 - Review the summary of the updated order
- This screen will display a list view of:
- All included scans.
- Additional information added to the refabrication order.
- Select the 'Start refabrication order' button to place your order.
Step 10 - Review the updated ETA for order
- An updated ETA for the refabricated order will be displayed.
- If you added on a design preview, the ETA displayed will be for the design preview's readiness.
Step 11 - Review reflected changes on Order Details page
- Once complete, you’ll be able to see the changes reflected in the order time line on the Order Details page.
