Overview: This article provides a step-by-step guide for clinical staff to set up, scan, and order a sleep apnea appliance through the chairside workflow.
Setting Up the Case
To begin the workflow, users must correctly configure the case settings within the software.
Access the case setup menu and select the Sleep & Accessories option.
Select Sleep Apnea from the available sub-options.

Choose the specific Sleep Apnea Device intended for the patient.

Select the specific arch or arches required for the retainer(s) when prompted by the software.
Scanning the Patient
The scanning sequence must be followed in a specific order to ensure the AI-powered search and the lab can process the data correctly.
Lower Arch: Capture a full scan of the lower arch.
Upper Arch: Capture a full scan of the upper arch.

Review Scans: Utilize the Review Scans menu to check for holes or distorted data in the captured images.
Placing the Order
Once scanning is complete and verified, the final step is to submit the digital prescription.
Review the final scans one last time in the Review Scans menu for accuracy.
Select the Place Order button to submit the case to the lab.
