Overview: Configure your operatory and equipment placement to ensure optimal provider-patient positioning and scanning efficiency.

Standard Cart Equipment Setup

Position the following equipment on the top shelf of your standard mobile cart:

  • Scanner and Base: Place the scanner in its base to prevent accidental drops.

  • Laptop: Position the laptop centrally for easy screen viewing.

  • Wireless Mouse: Ensure the wireless mouse has adequate space for movement.

Optimal Operatory Positioning

Follow these positioning guidelines to maintain a clear line of sight during the procedure:

  • Scanner Placement: Position the scanner on the opposite side of the patient relative to where the provider is seated.

  • Monitor Visibility: This scanner positioning allows the provider to maintain a clear view of the laptop screen or Dandy Cart monitor throughout the scan.

  • Device Accessibility: Ensure the scanner, keyboard, mouse, or Dandy Cart remains within easy reach at all times.

Power Requirements

To prevent interruptions during scanning, follow these power protocols:

  • Wall Outlets: Keep the scanner, laptop, and Dandy Cart plugged into wall outlets while scanning.

  • Continuous Power: Do not rely on battery power alone during a clinical procedure.
