Diagnostic scans help dental practices streamline patient education and treatment planning.

Set Up Patient Profiles

  1. Search for existing patients: Use the 'Search for a Patient' tab on the top left to find an existing profile.

  2. Create new patient profiles: Select 'New Patients' on the left side of the screen.

  3. Enter patient details: Input the patient's first name, last name, and date of birth, then select 'Add'.

     

Perform the Diagnostic Scan

  1. Navigate to Dandy Labs: Select 'Dandy Labs' under the 'Scan and Send' menu.

  2. Select Scan Only: Check the 'Scan Only' box to proceed without sending a formal order to Dandy.

  3. Capture the Lower Arch: Start at a posterior tooth and follow an occlusal-lingual-buccal path.

  4. Capture the Upper Arch: Flip the scanner mirror tip 180 degrees and follow the same occlusal-lingual-buccal path.

  5. Record Occlusion: Perform left and right bite scans while the patient is in natural centric occlusion.
