Overview: This article explains how to configure patient information, define restoration details, and execute the scanning path for implant cases using an iTero scanner.
Prerequisites
Active Dandy Portal account.
iTero scanner with updated software.
Physical scan body or scannable healing abutment.
Create New Implant Scan
To begin a new case, follow these steps to initialise the patient record:
Locate the iTero home screen.
Select the New Scan button.
Enter the patient's first name, last name, date of birth, and gender in the provided fields.
Define Order Specifications
Selecting the correct procedure ensures the iTero scanner captures the necessary data for Dandy:
Select Procedure and Type
Navigate to the Procedure menu and select Fixed Restorative.
Navigate to the Type menu and select Implant Based.
Note: Users may also select the specific teeth in the dental diagram to skip the manual 'type' selection.
Input Restoration Details
Enter the following technical specifications to ensure manufacturing accuracy:
Implant Data: Manufacturer name, implant system, and implant type
