When transitioning to a new Dandy Vision scanner, it is essential to complete all scans with your old scanner. The following FAQ will walk you through these steps:

- Where did my old scans go?
- Your old scans are still backed up on your laptop; however, you will not be able to access them for additional scanning using your Vision wand. Accessing your old scans will require using your 3Shape scanning wand and contacting Dandy for assistance with reinstalling your previous scanning software. We highly recommend completing all scans before moving to your new Dandy Vision scanning wand.

- Your submitted scans can still be downloaded under the Orders tab in your new scanning software.
- For future order submission
- We recommend submitting all necessary scans taken with your old scanner wand.
- What if I haven’t finished submitting my orders with the Trios scanner, but I want to start using my Dandy Vision?
- You will need to finish submitting your scans taken with the Trios Scanner before moving to your Dandy Vision.
- What if I need to use my Trios scanner?
- You should complete all necessary scans on your Trios scanner before switching to your new Vision scanner.
- What about diagnostic scans?
- Your Diagnostic Scans will still be visible in your practice portal under the patients tab
What You Can Do After the Swap
- Submit new cases using your Dandy Vision scanner.
- View previously submitted scans from the Orders tab in your Dandy Portal.
- Continue case follow-up and communication for any orders that have already been submitted.
What You Cannot Do After the Swap
- You cannot submit scans that were captured but not submitted on your old scanner.
- These unsubmitted scans will not carry over to the new scanning system.
- If you want to place an order for a case you have previously scanned, you must submit it before swapping.
- You cannot continue scanning a case you started with your old scanner wand once your system is transitioned.
Important Reminder
Before you set up your new equipment, please make sure your team:
- Submits all scans you intend to order, and
- Completes any cases that require additional imaging on your current scanner.
Once your scanner is swapped, any unfinished or unsubmitted scans will no longer be available for submission.
