- When the case is delivered to your office, each crown will arrive in a clearly labeled box for easy identification:

- We recommend starting with the SELECTED SHADE crown.

How to explain treatment to your patients
If you choose to explain this shade-matching process with your patient, Dandy recommends positioning this as a 'boutique' or 'white glove service'.
You’re going above and beyond to deliver a beautiful, natural-looking smile—similar to trying on different options to find the perfect engagement ring or makeup shade—and having three similar shade options let's you get it just right.
What types of anterior crowns are eligible for this workflow
Currently, this workflow is available for single-unit, anterior crowns using monolithic zirconia or zirconia translucent aesthetic as the material. We’re actively exploring ways to expand this workflow to more case types in the future.
Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
What are the details of ‘Your first 3 cases are free’?
For your first 3 eligible cases, you’ll receive the two additional crowns at no extra charge—standard anterior crown pricing applies. This gives you a risk-free way to try the workflow.
Do I have to return the crowns I don’t use?
No returns required! You’re welcome to discard, store, or offer the unused crowns to your patient—whatever suits your practice.
Will the crowns be labeled so I can tell them apart?
Yes. Each crown will arrive in a clearly labeled box for easy organization and use.
How do I provide feedback on which crown I chose?
Scan the QR code on the postcard included with your case. You’ll receive a $5 credit after submitting your response.
Why would I want three different shades?
Shade can be difficult to match perfectly from a photo. Having three final restorations lets you compare in real life—so you can choose the perfect shade and seat confidently the same day.
How do I explain the three crowns to my patient?
Frame it as a luxury experience—you're delivering the most natural-looking result possible by going the extra mile to offer real-time shade matching at the appointment.
Do you accommodate multi-shade gradients for cases? (E.g., I order a crown with A2/A1/A1 shades.)
Yes, the mult-shade gradient will be the selected shade, and we’ll send one that is slightly lighter and one that is slightly darker.
If I order A3, what shades will I receive? Will it be A2 + A4?
Not necessarily. When we say that shades will be slightly lighter and slightly darker, this does not default to following tab-based steps. Instead, your selected shade is used as a starting point. We then create one crown that’s slightly lighter, and one that’s slightly darker, based on the final material and design. These variations are created to give you the best visual options at seat, not to mirror a traditional shade tab range.
