Overview: This guide provides step-by-step instructions for the clinical appointment workflow when creating a patient sports guard, including case setup and scanning sequences.
Case Setup Instructions
Follow these steps to configure the case in the software:
Open the case setup menu and select Splints, Sports Guards & TMJ.
Within the sub-menu, select the Sports Guard product option.
Choose the specific arch (Upper or Lower) that will receive the sports guard.
Patient Scanning Sequence
Complete the patient scans in the following order to ensure data accuracy:
Lower Arch: Capture the full lower dental arch.
Upper Arch: Capture the full upper dental arch.
Bite: Capture the patient's bite registration.
Submit Order: Review scans and proceed to the ordering menu.
Important Scanning Tip: You must capture every aspect of the arch receiving the sports guard. Ensure the distal surfaces of the posterior-most teeth are completely captured to allow for an accurate final fabrication.
Order Finalization
Once scanning is complete, finalize the order details:
Navigate to the Ordering menu.
Select the required Quantity for the sports guard.
Choose the Color requested by the patient.
