Trim Tool in Chairside

This article contains instructions for using the Trim tool. The Trim Tool in Chairside can be used to remove scan data from an ongoing case. 

Step 1 - Navigate to the arch you wish to edit

Step 2 - Click on the 'Trim' icon

Located on the bottom lefthand side of the screen

Step 3 - Select the brush, scalpel or patch icon

Brush & Scalpel produce a trim with a rounded edge

Patch produces a circular trim on any area clicked once

Step 4 - Next select the width of the trim

Step 5 - Click and use the mouse cursor to brush/scalpel/patch an area you wish to remove

The area will be highlighted in blue. Upon releasing the mouse button the highlighted area will be trimmed from the scan. Trim steps can be undone and reapplied by using the 'Undo' and 'Redo' buttons. 'Cancel' will delete any changes made to the scan using the trim tool.
