Overview: This guide explains how to operate the Scan and Remote buttons on the Dandy Trios Wireless Scanner wand to navigate software pages and evaluate patient scans.
Prerequisites
Dandy Trios Wireless Scanner must be powered on.
Scanner wand must be connected to the scanning software.
Operate the Scan Button
The Scan button allows the user to start or stop the capture of dental data and navigate between different scanning stages.
Control Scanning Actions
Start Scanning: Press the Scan button once to begin capturing data.
Stop Scanning: Press the Scan button again to halt the data capture process.
Use the Navigation Wheel
Access the Wheel: Press and hold the Scan button while on any scanning page (Lower, Upper, Bite1, or Bite2).
Navigate Sections: While holding the Scan button, point the scanner wand toward the desired direction on the on-screen Navigation Wheel.
Select a Section: Release the Scan button to confirm the selection and move to that scan page.
Operate the Remote Button
The Remote button transforms the scanner wand into a navigation tool to inspect and interact with the 3D scans on the screen.
Activate Remote Mode
Press the Remote button once to enter Remote Mode. Once Remote Mode is active, the wand controls the on-screen cursor and viewing angles.
Inspect Scans in Remote Mode
Rotate the Scan: Press and hold the Remote button while rotating the scanner wand to view the 3D model from different angles.
Zoom In and Out: Double-click the Remote button to toggle the zoom level for a more detailed inspection of the scan.
Select Options: Point the wand at an on-screen menu item and press the Remote button to select that option.
Exit Remote Mode
Select the Exit Remote option on the computer screen to return the wand to standard scanning mode.
