Overview: This guide describes how to perform the partial denture try-in workflow in Chairside, from the initial order selection through the feedback and submission steps.
Primary Try-in Appointment Definitions
A try-in is a trial version of a partial denture used to verify fit and aesthetics before final production.
Flexible or Acrylic Partials: A wax version of the partial denture produced without metal clasps.
Metal Partials: The metal framework itself, which may include teeth set in wax.
Hybrid Partials: The metal framework itself, which may include teeth set in wax, which will have acrylic/flexi clasps later on.
Wax Rims (Bite Rims): Customized wax structures used for edentulous areas to mimic missing teeth. Doctors use wax rims to confirm and adjust the patient's bite directly on the wax.
