Adjusting the Scanner Click Sound in Chairside and Unite (Trios)
Dr. Jeremy Wano
This guide provides step-by-step instructions on adjusting or muting the volume of the 'Click' sound produced by the scanner in both Chairside and Unite (Trios) software. This 'Click' sound is an audio cue indicating scan data capture.
Note: Adjusting these settings will not affect the scanner's mechanical clicking sound, which is quieter. It only alters the louder, software-generated 'Click' sound.
Adjusting Scanner Volume in Chairside
Step 1 - Access volume control by clicking on the 'Volume' button in the upper right-hand corner of Chairside.
Step 2 - Adjust the volume by moving the slider to your preferred level. Sliding it completely to the left will mute the scanner.
Adjusting Scanner Volume in Unite (Trios)
Step 1 - Access Settings
Click on the 'More' dropdown in the upper left-hand corner of Trios
Select the 'gear' icon from the dropdown.
Step 2 - Navigate to Sound Settings
Choose 'Trios' from the settings list.
Go to 'Scan Settings' from the Trios dropdown.
Proceed to the 'Sound' section.
Step 3 - Modify Sound Preferences
