Overview: This article explains the normal warming functions of the Dandy Trios Wired and Wireless scanners and provides guidance on when temperature requires support intervention.
Scanner Warming Functions
The Dandy Trios Wired and Trios Wireless scanners use built-in warming mechanisms to prevent the internal scanning tip mirror from fogging during use.
Expected Temperature States
Steady State
It is normal for the Trios scanner to remain in a warm state whenever the scanning software is active. Users may leave the scanner in this warm state for prolonged periods without risking damage to the device.
Ambient Temperature Effects
The scanner maintains a consistent internal temperature. If the ambient office environment is cooler than usual, the scanner may feel warmer to the touch than expected, though the internal temperature remains the same.
Support Intervention for Excessive Heat
If the Trios scanner becomes too hot to safely hold or touch, users must contact the Dandy Support Team immediately.
