Editing Order Details in Dandy Portal

This guide explains how to complete the following edits and provide instructions for your orders directly in the Dandy Portal.

  • Shade
  • Material
  • Tooth number
  • Order level preferences

Important Considerations

  • Order Status: If your order is in design or fabrication, edits will result in a new order. The original order will be canceled without double-charging.
  • Material Changes: Alterations in materials for ongoing orders may cause delays and pricing changes.
  • Product Limitations: Currently, this functionality does not extend to aligners.
  • Add-on items: If you wish to add an additional item to an existing, in progress (original order has not shipped), order please visit: How to add an additional item to an in progress order

If you need to edit aligners or dentures OR your edit is not related to shade, material, tooth number, or instructions, please request edits through our support teams at this time.

Step-by-step Instructions

Step 1 - Navigate to Quick order actions

  • Navigate to the Dandy Portal and select the order you would like to edit. 
  • Make a selection from Quick order actions

  • Quick order actions will vary by Sku
  • If a button is greyed out it means that type or edit or action cannot be preformed at this time. Ex: Refabricate order or Provide product feedback will only be available after the order is delivered.

Step 2 - Make Your Order Edits

  • Use the pencil icon to make necessary shade, material, or tooth number changes. You can also adjust your preferences for this order or leave an additional note.

Step 3 - Review Your Changes and Submit

  • Once you have made your edits, click Next to review your changes. 
  • Lastly, tick the checkbox to acknowledge your changes will result in a delay to your order delivery, and then click Submit Changes as New Order.

Tracking Changes

View the updated delivery date and changes in the Dandy Portal.

You can access the original canceled order by clicking "View Original" in the case’s left panel.

Edit Ordering Doctor and Delivery Address

You can edit the ordering doctor and/or delivery address for a specific order if needed. Use the pencil icons next to the Doctor and Delivery Address on an order to make the adjustment.
