Clinical Scenarios for Combo Dentures
This workflow applies when fabricating a new complete denture and a new partial denture for a patient who cannot establish VDO using their current dentition or existing appliances.
Clinical Appointment Sequencing
Appointment 1: Scan the patient and submit the new order.
Appointment 2: Record the wax rim and occlusal record.
Appointment 3: Try in the partial denture framework (with or without teeth setup) and the monolithic try-in complete denture (if try-in is not needed, the case can go to Final, to be delivered).
Appointment 4: Deliver the final partial denture and the final complete denture.
Entering Patient Information
Click Start on the Chairside homescreen.
Enter the first and last name of the patient.
For existing patients, select the patient name and click Order Something New.
For new patients, finish entering the name, select the gender, and enter the birthday.
Click Create and Continue.

Setting Up the Complete Denture
Select Dentures, then click Denture.
Select New Denture.
Select No - Patient has no existing denture to establish bite or vertical dimensions, then click Next.
Select Intraoral scan, then click Next
If the denture is implant-supported, click Switch to Overdentures on the right side of the screen; otherwise, select No and click Next.
Select a single arch, then click Next.
Adding the Partial Denture to the Order
Click Add another item to include the partial denture in the same order.
Select Dentures, then click Partial.
Select the material for the partial denture, then click Next.
Select a Vita Classic or Ivoclar Bleach Shade for the partial, then click Next.
If the order is for a replacement partial, select the appropriate option and click Next.
Click Start Scanning once all product selections are finalized.
