Prerequisites Before starting the crown under partial workflow, ensure you are using one of the following compatible material types:
Zirconia Monolithic
Zirconia High-Translucency
eMax Full Contour
Note: This workflow is not available for Porcelain-Fused-Zirconia, Porcelain Layered eMax, Porcelain-Fused-To-Metal, Gold, full metal, or hand-fabricated restorations.
Case Setup for Crown Under Partial Workflow
Follow these steps to configure the case in the software:
Select Workflow: Choose the "Crown" workflow option.
Identify Tooth: Select the specific tooth requiring restoration on the dental chart.
Enable Partial Setting: Check the box labeled “This is a crown under partial” located on the right-hand side of the interface.
Confirm Preferences: Complete the case setup by confirming all restoration preferences.
Scanning Steps for Crown Under Partial Workflow
Perform the scanning process in the following sequence to ensure accurate fitment:
Pre-prep Scan: Scan the patient's arch in the pre-preparation stage without the partial denture in place.
Opposing Arch Scan: Scan the opposing arch without any appliances.
Right Bite Scan: Scan the right side bite with the partial denture seated in the patient's mouth.
Left Bite Scan: Scan the left side bite with the partial denture seated in the patient's mouth.
Preparation Scan (Without Partial): Scan the prepared tooth while the partial denture is removed.
Preparation Scan (With Partial): Scan the prepared tooth again while the partial denture is seated in the mouth.
Order Placement: Review the scans and place the order through the portal.
