Overview: This article provides a step-by-step appointment guide for the straight-to-finish partial denture workflow in Chairside.
Case Setup for Partial Dentures
Select the Dentures option in the case setup menu.
Choose Partial within the Dentures selection.
Select the required material for the partial denture.
Choose the tooth shade for the partial denture.
Check the replacement box if the case is a replacement partial denture.
Provide scans or photos of the existing partial denture through the portal chat.
Do not send the physical existing partial denture to the lab.
Scanning Sequence for Partial Dentures
Complete the scanning sequence in this specific order: Lower Arch, Upper Arch, Bite, and then Review Scans.
Lower Arch Scanning Requirements
Capture both retromolar pads to ensure proper retention of the partial denture.
Include at least 5mm of the patient's gingival tissue below the existing teeth.
Capture 5mm of the buccal and lingual surfaces of all edentulous areas.
Upper Arch Scanning Requirements
Scan the entire palate to allow for the creation of a framework or horseshoe palate.
Capture both maxillary tuberosities.
Bite Scanning and Review
Scan the anterior teeth for the bite scan if the posterior teeth cannot be scanned.
Use the Review Scans menu to verify that all required dental landmarks are captured accurately.
Order Submission Process
Navigate to the Ordering menu to begin the submission.
Select any required Extras for the order.
Choose the specific teeth the partial denture will replace.
Note if each tooth is currently missing or scheduled for extraction.
Specify the clasp placement by selecting the teeth on the pop-up diagram.
Choose the clasp material based on the selected partial denture material.
Select the desired type of coverage for the partial denture.
Confirm the final tooth shade and select the preferred tissue shade.
Choose the preferred manufacturing method.
Upload clinical photos or use the QR code to attach images, or press Skip.
Place the order.
